Sunset Yoga Recap at Sheraton + Next Event

sheratondallas_sunsetyoga_20Hosting events has been one of the most exciting parts of my blogger journey. It gives me a chance to meet my fans in person and hopefully share new and fun experiences with them too. Plus, I love planning a really badass event that brings people together.

Last week, I hosted a sunset yoga event under my other business Dallas Fitness Ambassadors with my events coordinator and blogger friend Ginger, of The Ginger Marie Blog. It took place at the Sheraton Hotel’s chaparral ballroom on the 38th floor with a gorgeous view of downtown.

Over 100 people showed up for an amazing all level flow practice by Noemi Martinez of V12 yoga. If you haven’t checked out the studio, it’s a gorgeous space in the Dallas Farmer’s Market. Her flow is truly all-levels with opportunities for more seasoned yogis to try more challenging poses, while beginner levels can comfortably continue their practice without feeling intimidated.

After class, everyone was invited to hang out and check out the sunset. It was perfectly timed. I wish I could take credit for that, but I’m definitely not that smooth. Delicious light bites and slenderita cocktails were passed around. It was perfect ending to the evening.

Another favorite part of hosting events is being able to bring in partners and give everyone a chance to sample new foods or drinks, win prizes, and learn about other offerings in Dallas.

Ultra Shake sampled their shakes, most specifically their Yogi Bliss. Yogi Bliss is supposed to be the equivalent of a gatorade but for practicing yogis.

KIND Bar sent over boxes of their new snack bars for people to grab on the way in. Perfect pre-yoga snack for those famish after work.sheraton_sunsetyoga_dallasblogger2

One of favorites is this jerky bar Krave set up. Isn’t it the cutest? All their stuff is delicious and there’s so many to choose from.

A HUGE thank you to Tea Tree Hair, a Paul Mitchell brand, for sponsoring our swag bags with legit products. Full size shampoo, conditioner and tea tree essential oil. We made bags for the first 40 guests that arrived. Lululemon Knox-Henderson also sponsored their popular sweat bands. Definitely a hot commodity at the event. I loved that almost everyone was able to walk away with something.

I definitely couldn’t have done this without the support of my amazing friends. With as many events as I’ve hosted, this was by the largest turnout and it went off without a hitch. I couldn’t have done it without my girl Ginger and Mary. My amazing boyfriend snapped all these shots for me and even defied car troubles to make the event just for me. Teamwork really makes the dreamwork and I was riding the high from this event for days after.
