It’s that time again and I’m sharing some great January fitness events in Dallas. Don’t know about you guys, but I’m coming out of my holiday food coma and I’m sooo ready to start the new year stronger than ever. Finding motivation during the holidays was a b****. So I’ve hand picked fitness events I think you should know about. Grab a friend, make it a sweat date, and do the dang thing.

New Year’s Day 108 Sun Salutations with Reef Point Yoga

Welcome 2017 with a burst of creative energy and physical asana. Join Reef Point Yoga for a special 2 hour long practice with 108 sun salutations to start your new year right! This is a donation-based class. All donations will go to Café Momentum. Café Momentum is a Dallas-based restaurant and culinary training facility which transforms young people’s lives by providing a positive environment in which at-risk youth who have spent time in juvenile facilities receive intensive culinary, job and life-skill training, as well as continued mentorship and support, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The Couple’s Workout + Brunch with Equipping Strength

Date:  Saturdays in January  | Time: 10am | Location: East Side Athletic Club | Cost: $20 per couple. RSVP here.

Kick off the New Year with a heart pumping conditioning workout with your significant other, spouse, or friend and break a sweat together! Each workout will begin with a dynamic warm up followed by fast paced circuits, and high intensity intervals for a cardio conditioning workout. All fitness levels are welcome and all exercises can be modified to each individual’s current level. 

Simply Fit Meals with be proving the perfect post workout brunch following the workout.  

Athleta Turtle Creek New Year Fitness Blitz

Athleta Turtle Creek is hosting their January Fitness Blitz featuring two free weeks of classes from different local studios. Participants who fill out a sweepstakes card by attending 8 or more classes will be entered into a drawing for a $50 shopcard! Studios are also giving away class packages during these free classes. All classes will be held in store EXCEPT the spin classes on Jan 4th and 12th.

Start 2017 on the right foot by joining Shack Track & Field (STF) as it kicks off in Dallas on Tuesday, January 10. In partnership with RunOn!, the Uptown Dallas Shake Shack will host a free community run the second Tuesday of every month, beginning at 7 p.m. Runners who show-up on January 10 for the first-ever Dallas STF run can expect Shake Shack swag and giveaways! After each run, participants will receive their first drink back at the Shack for free!

9th Annual Big D Climb with Leukemia Lymphoma Society

The Big D Climb is set for Saturday, January 28, 2017 at BANK OF AMERICA PLAZA, the tallest building in downtown Dallas! Take the challenge and climb 70 STORIES to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raise $350,000 for the mission.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Learn more at www.lls.org.

Hypnotic Donut Dash 5k

5k and 1-mile run with many vendors and lots of donuts! Only DFW run with donut hole stations on the courses.
