It’s a Saturday night and the weather felt amazing. Date night seemed to be the perfect way to take advantage of my weekend. We went to The Keg Steakhouse in Plano which is by Willow Bend Mall and I can’t say I was too impressed with the food or the service. It’s a bummer when you spend good money on mediocre food.
This will be my first and last time here. It was reminiscent of a nicer Saltgrass. My Filet Classic was a 7 oz filet wrapped in bacon. It came with mashed potatoes, and sauteed veggies. I thought my steak was a bit on the salty side. It wasn’t a bad steak, but it wasn’t phenomenal either. With all the other steakhouses in Dallas, chain restaurants or privately owned, it’s just a no-brainer to take my business elsewhere. Mediocre steaks are just heartbreaking.
The creme brulee on the otherhand was delicious. Here’s looking for the positive!
