Happy to share a few on-going fitness events this month. The best part is that it’s freeeee. Got a good mix of events to appease every fitness type. Here’s what I got:
1. UFC Gym White Rock Grand Opening – this all-level gym offers classes such as Daily Ultimate Training (DUT), MMA, MATRX, and Kickboxing. There are also youth fitness classes and mixed martial arts including Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu just to give you an idea what to expect. For the grand opening, there will be free classes held this Saturday, May 2nd and on Monday, May 4th.
Below are a list of classes you can take this Saturday and you can check out the schedule here.
9 a.m. Boxing
11 a.m. UFC Fit (punching, kicking and MMA combinations)
12:30 DUT (Daily Ultimate Training combining resistance training, body movements and cardio endurance)
On May 9th and 10th, all UFC Gyms in White Rock, North Richland Hills, Plano and Flower Mound will offer free classes all day.
2. Rooftop Yoga with Andrea of Loubies and Lulu – Equinox and Hotel Lumen have come together to offer a special Friday morning series of sunrise yoga. Every Friday in May at 8:45-9:45, enjoy a free class. You can register here.
3. Join V12Yoga on the Continental Bridge – Don’t confuse this bridge with the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge. It’s actually right next to it, but that doesn’t mean the view won’t be as gorgeous. BYOM, water, and join V12 this Saturday at 9:30a.
4. For the entire month of May, Burn Cardio Studio is offering free 2-day passes for new students wanting to mix it up and check out a new place. With 30 minutes classes of TRX, Booty bootcamp, barre, Pilates, yoga, mommy baby classes, spin and so much more, take as many classes as you want. Email them at connect@burncardiostudio.com or mention this pass, grab a friend and get burning.
5. Every Friday this May, Studio 6 Fitness and the Shops of Park Lane bring you Fitness Friday. At noon, enjoy a free yoga or Pilates class. It’s BYOM and will take place at the new community park located next to the Zoe’s and Starbucks.
6. Flexin’ Flow on the Wet Deck – Starting this Saturday (and all summer long), join Brit from Dallas Grit Fitness on the wet deck at the W Hotel for a free Flexin’ Flow class at 9am. Make sure to bring your mat and come early. Spots are limited so make sure to sign up. Sip on discounted mimosas and breakfast nibbles after your workout.

All of these sounds so great! Thanks for the class roundup! I really wish I could go to the rooftop yoga (sounds AMAZING) but I have to work 🙁 I will definitely try out the Flexin Flow though!

Fasho! The rooftop one does sound cool. I can’t make it either because of work and I think it’s geared more toward stay-at-home parents or even students. Flexin flow sounds like a blast though.
I may have to try one of the bridge yoga workouts! Those sounds like fun. If you come across any biking events, let me know!
