When it comes to meeting my fitness goals, my meal planning game is not great. I try. I really really do! But, there are Sundays, where I’d rather lay in bed, watch Netflix and hang out in my pillow fort than spend a few hours prepping for the week. Since I fail to plan for the week, more often than not, I have to pick up food.
I’m certainly a fan of convenience and healthy options, so when My Fit Foods reached out to me about their Pay Fit Forward, I wanted to learn more. Although I’ve recognized the brand, I’ve never been in a store. Can you believe that? So I decided to drive my hungry self to a store and check it out.
My Fit Foods is a healthy prepared meals concept that offers a variety of prepared meals. You can select to participate in a nutritional program or just stop in, pick up a meal and go and everything is gluten-free! Pretty simple. For the month of September, My Fit Foods is encouraging everyone to share their healthy lifestyle with friends. Accountability works better with friends, right?
The gist of the campaign is this: stop in any location on any Friday this month, buy a meal and get a second meal you can give to someone for free. You can choose to give your second meal to a friend or donate it to a local charity.
Based in Austin and with over 50 locations across the U.S., My Fit Foods has partnered with different charities in each state/city. The partnered charity for Dallas is the North Texas Food Bank, the largest North Texas charity focused on feeding the local hungry; Nourishment for the Needy, a faith-based food pantry in the Texas area. If you’re participating in the Austin area, the donations benefit Keep Austin Fed, a non-profit organization that gathers wholesome and nutritious surplus food and distributes to local charities that feed those in need. I love the idea of donating a meal to a charity. Sharing is caring y’all!
While the campaign is running, I’m also really looking forward to the #PayFitForward event happening this Thursday at a local store. It’s also going to be hosted by one of my blogger pals, Lea of Running With Ollie. Make sure to check her out and stay tuned for a recap of the event.
I hope you’ll join me in this campaign. If you happen to stop by a My Fit Foods, make sure to ask for the favorites. I personally liked the Slammin Salmon over rice.
I’ve partnered with My Fit Foods to bring you this sponsored post. All opinions remain my own.
