I’m no wizard in the kitchen, but I saw the cutest Halloween-themed appetizer on Tasty Buzzfeed and thought I’d recreate it for a work potluck. Last year, I made these Halloween oreo witches hats, and this time around, I wanted to make something savory. I didn’t follow the video’s instructions completely and used what I had in my fridge. Plus, the pukey baby pumpkin was too cute!
Ingredients:
4 ripe avocados
1 roma tomato
1 squeezed lime
1 shallot (since I had no onion or garlic and it seemed the closest)
1 /2 cup of cilantro
1/4 chopped jalepeno (jar)
Pinch of chili powder
Pinch of sea salt to flavor
Instead of a fork, I used a pestle to smashed the avocados and got a much smoother texture. I got blue corn tortilla chips and bought my pumpkin from a Trader Joes. This was such a fun appetizer to layout and the unconventional jalepeno and chili powder added a nice kick to the guacamole. Super fun and easy Halloween idea that’ll make everyone giggle. Enjoy!

LOL. That image did make me go AHHH! I love guacamole but you just put a cute spin to this. Trader Joes just opened down the street from me. Woohoo.
I saw this on buzzfeed and had to try it. It’s too cute. TJ’s is popping up everywhere!!
