I had the pleasure of hosting a really fun fitness event with my friends at Athleta in Stonebriar Mall. As part of their Friends and Family event, everyone was invited to take a restorative yoga class followed with some sake cocktails, light bites and prizes. Oh, and don’t forget the shopping! There’s something about creating events that get people together that I absolutely enjoy.
This particularly week was pretty dreary. It was raining all week long and I was ready for some sunshine. Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day and I’m so glad everyone showed up to enjoy a restorative yoga class taught by Kimberly from YogaFit in Plano.
After class, my friend Meghan hooked it up with yummy TyKu sake cocktails or sake-mosas. These were perfectly light and refreshing. Who doesn’t love a light drink while shopping? This should be a real thing all stores offer. Seriously.
After any class, I’m always famished. I’m so glad no one could hear my growling stomach. Piada Italian Street Food sponsored some really awesome bites. I was totally in love with the mini orzo and quinoa bowls. Their store is located right outside the mall and have two more locations opening soon in Fort Worth and Richardson.
In addition to that, everyone loved the pumpkin protein muffins from Pure Plates. I’m obsessed with these.
Special thank you to all of the sponsors for this intimate event. Always a good time at Athleta and can’t wait to come back soon.
